All About ELise

I’m a Midwest girl at heart and currently call Iowa home. I love the sense of grounding that comes from familiar places, meaningful relationships, and routines that actually feel nourishing (not just productive). Traveling is something I really enjoy — especially trips that help me slow down, reconnect, and come back feeling more like myself.

I’m deeply passionate about mental health and what it means to be human. I love helping people understand their nervous systems, learn how to feel safer in their bodies, and build lives that feel sustainable — not just survivable. I’m especially drawn to work that blends science, compassion, and real-life practicality.

I’m a big fan of simple joys: fresh air, long walks, cozy moments, and anything that helps me feel present. I’m a strong believer that healing doesn’t always look dramatic — sometimes it looks like breathing a little deeper, setting one small boundary, or choosing rest without guilt. I also have a very soft spot for French bulldogs — truly obsessed — and firmly believe dogs make life better!

Connection matters a lot to me. I value deep conversations, meaningful relationships, and showing up for the people I care about. I also have a soft spot for celebrating milestones and making moments feel special — whether that’s a big life event or a quiet win that deserves to be noticed.

Outside of work, I love things that feel grounding and creative. I’m drawn to calm, minimalist spaces, thoughtful routines, and experiences that feel intentional. I’m always learning — about myself, about others, and about how we can care for our mental health in ways that actually fit real life.
Goals for my future:
Continue growing as a therapist and human, travel more, protect my peace, keep learning (and unlearning), and live a life that feels aligned — not rushed. I’m always working on finding balance between showing up for others and showing up for myself.
